Crews from Acomb and York have responded to a smoke alarm activation in a domestic property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes. Crew ventilated property.

A crew from Selby has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a domestic property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

10:38 Road traffic collision – Stirton Lane, Skipton

2 crews from Skipton have been called to a road traffic collision involvingan Aston Martin Vantage which had left the road and become stuck on a grass verge against a wall. 1 male driver (70’s) is believed to have suffered a medical episode. Crew released male and assisted him to ambulance. Male taken to hospital for a precautionary check up. Crew power only used.

10:42 False alarm – Wigginton Road, York

A crew from Acomb have responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to dust from builders tools.

12:16 Dangerous structure – Ousegate, Selby

A crew from Selby, along with the aerial ladder platform from Harrogate have removed a 6ft coping stone from the roof of a 3 storey commercial property after it slipped to an unsafe position over a public footpath. Aerial ladder platform and crew power used.

12:30 Person trapped – Scott Road, Selby

A crew from Selby has been called to a 12 year old boy who had gone down a steep bank at the side of a river and was unable to climb back up. Crew assisted boy to safety and gave advice. Crew power only used.

12:26 Lift rescue – Sixth Avenue, York

A crew from York has rescued 1 male from a lift carriage. Crew used lift keys and small tools. male was unharmed.

12:51 Assist police – Colliergate, York

York crew have been called to remove a lock from a bicycle which was also secured to another persons bike. Crew used cutters.

13:56 False alarm – Forest Drive, Colburn

A crew from Richmond has investigated reports of a small fire in woodland. A full search of the area was carried out but no inciddent located.

15:18 Caravan fire – North Lane, Huntington

Crews from York and Acomb have dealt with a fire involving 2 abandoned caravans. Severe fire, heat and smoke damage to a static caravan and an adjacent touring caravan. 2 x propane cylinders involved in fire and left to safely vent off. no persons involved in the incident. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jets and thermal imaging camera used. The cause is believed to be deliberate.

15:41 Assist ambulance – Hampton Road, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough has been called to assist paramedics to carry a patient from a domestic property to an ambulance. Crew power used and male transferred to hospital.

16:15 False alarm – Springwell Lane, Northallerton

A crew from Northallerton has responded to an unknown alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to accidental activation of a warden call pendant.
