Deep Stone Crypt was the annual raid that was released with the launch of Beyond Light expansion. Deep Stone Crypt weapons also got a perk pool refresh in Season of the Seraph and became craftable in the process.

There are six legendary weapons in Deep Stone Crypt along with an exotic weapon. These weapons come with their origin trait Bray Inheritance which states that “Dealing damage generates a small amount of ability energy.”

Bequest is an Arc adaptive frame sword and has the best stats of the adaptive frame family. It does more damage than any other sword in the frame thanks to its impact value of 70 which is considerably higher than other adaptive frame swords.

Even though it is the highest damage-dealing sword it is still not useful in PvE as it can not roll with the fan-favorite perk Eager Edge. Swords are the weakest weapon archetype in Destiny 2, as they require you to get up close and personal with an enemy while providing little survivability. Swords are getting a rework in the future, so Bequest might become a viable option in the future.

Eyes of Tomorrow is the raid exotic of Deep Stone Crypt that is a random drop from beating the final boss of the raid. Eyes of Tomorrow was extremely weak at launch and over the years it has received major nerfs. Though its tracking in PvP and Gambit is fun to watch this rocket is mediocre in every other department.

This rocket is not good for DPS as its perks revolve around it being an ad-clear weapon. It comes with the exotic perk Adaptive Ordinance which states that “Defeating 4 or more combatants in a single volley increases the damage of the next volley and refunds ammo.” You can get infinite heavy ammo if you get 4 kills with every shot, but the use cases of this perk are extremely limited, and way better options already exist for ad clear.

Posterity is a precision frame arc hand cannon and is without a doubt the best precision frame hand cannon thanks to its stats and perk pool. Precision frame hand cannons unfortunately are underwhelming in both PvE and PvP, but Posterity brings some unique perks to the table making it more viable than others.

For PvE, Posterity is the only weapon in the game that can roll with Voltshot in the left column, allowing you to pair with another damage-dealing perk in the right column like Frenzy, Rampage, and Redirection. For PvP, we have tried and true perks like Killing Wind in the left column and Opening Shot, and Rampage in the right column.

Trustee is a rapid-fire frame solar scout rifle that can roll with some new and old tried and true perks combinations. Scout rifles are always a safe choice in endgame content like Grandmaster Nightfalls and Trustee is one of the best scout rifles in the game.

In the left column, Trustee can roll with Rapid Hit, Pugilist, and Reconstruction allowing you to double the magazine size. In the right column, we have perks like Incandescent, Wellspring, and Redirection with Incandescent being the main appeal.

Succession was an incredible sniper rifle when it was released and with the perk refresh in Season of the Seraph, it is still the best sniper rifle in the game. Succession is one of the best legendary weapons in the game and belongs to the aggressive frame family of snipers while residing in the kinetic slot.

The main appeal of Succession is that it can roll with Reconstruction in the left column, allowing your magazine size to get to 8 which is unheard of for an aggressive frame sniper. In the left column, you have damage-dealing perks like Focused Fury, Vorpal Weapon, and Firing Line all of which are good options. This weapon can also be used for PvP, but PvE is where it shines the most.

Heritage is the best shotgun in the game for PvE and one of the best kinetic weapons in the game. It belongs to the Pinpoint Slug Frame of shotguns and has access to some incredible perks combinations.

In the left column, Heritage can roll with Demolitionist, Auto-Loading Holster, and Reconstruction while in the right column, it can roll with Focused Fury and Recombination. Heritage is also extremely fun in The Crucible and with the perk combination of Hip-Fire Grip and Offhand Strike, it can effectively one-shot people from a range of 25 meters whilst hip-firing.

With the launch of Lightfall, light machine guns received a major buff and became the top-tier option for ad-clearing. Commemoration, without a doubt, is the best light machine gun in the game. Commemoration belongs to the Adaptive frame and has a void affinity.

Commemoration can roll with perks like Subsistence, Dragonfly, Feeding Frenzy, and Reconstruction in the left column, whilst being able to roll with perks like Redirection, Killing Tally, Firing Line, Rampage, and Repulsor Brace. The perk combination of Reconstruction and Killing Tally, however, is extremely deadly and makes this gun one of the best for chunking down majors and clearing smaller enemies.
